I am painting up a skin for a league skinpack, and was wanting to paint the rims for the Alfa.
Is there a way of doing this? Or do you have to play with the MAs files.
Also is it possible to grab the cortina's minilite rims and whack them on the Alfa? But im guessing that the MAS file would definately need to be played with.
Cheers,

Hi,
sadly in the original GTL cars the rims can't be customized as easily as you can do with the body or the windows, and that's exactly what you got here.
To do so you need to play with the mas as you say, yes. But not only that, I'm afraid.
And the same goes to use cortina's rims on the alfa.
You'll need to uncompress the mas files, play a bit with 3DSimEd and do some work editing car's config files.
These kind of things aren't very hard to do, but will need some knowledge and a little of work, I'm afraid. But learning to do it may get you into modding, so invite you to try to do it

Hey Rantam,
Thanks for the reply.
Funnily enough the colour of the rims i wanted (gold) was one of the options wheels, that you can play with the genstring (i think). I was unable to look at it currently as ive just install Win7 and have yet to re-install my instances of rfactor.
I do have 3D SimED, and do have a few people that i know of in the modding world. So i might have a play in my free time.
Thanks again, and cant wait for the new version.
