Hi Rantam

Our champ is going to the end this season (13 GP), it's call "Coupe de l'Age d'Or" and we are going to re organize it in 2010.

But next year, we alson want to organize some endurance race, and my question is : do you think the motors will go for 4 or 6 hours ?

best regs

Christian

Hi,

depends on the car you chose. Some issues have been reported during endurace races, but i think most of them were about brake fade, not engines.

Usually taking care of the rev limit is enough to make it to the end. But as i said, depends on the car. I suggest you to do some test in advance to see how it goes.

Regards

I don't know about the '72/'76 cars, but all from '65 usually are programmed to last around this number of seconds:

LifetimeAvg=10800 // average lifetime in seconds
LifetimeVar=2250 // lifetime random variance

But that is if you take out of the equation the "overrevving" that the driver does. Shift 500-700rpm bellow the rpm limit and it should last that distance no problem.

We're planning an 6 hour enduro open and I just started to do those kind of tests. So, maybe we will have an answer Smile
